I just thought I'd drop a line and bring you up to date. Tal loves his amp and is getting used to it enough to take on the road with him a few weeks. >I just did my first gig this weekend with the amp. I played with my band in West Virginia on a festival with Doobie Bros., Starship, Blue Oyster Cult. They all were wowed by my amp. I had a great time. It rocked. About half of my presets were great and with a touch up for next weekend, I'll probably improve it by another 50% and so on. After about 3-4 gigs, I'll have every thing tweaked to what I want. The effects are fabulous and for the first time, I have a guitar sound that sounds like a studio sound on stage. I find it better to use both the big J12 pedal and the little one that came with the amp as I have programmed in my whole stage set list in order. Then, with the small pedal, I just advance through the set list using the A/B sounds I've set for each rhythm and solo for each song. It's the best! Tal is in Europe but I know before he left he was trying to fax his enthusiastic comments on the amp to you. He'll be home in a week and will probably contact you then. Cheers, P.S. The one time only get together of The Guess Who will happen on Aug 8 in Winnipeg at the Pan Am Games. We will do 4 songs at the closing ceremony. It is sold out at 75,000 people and will be televised to 3 billion viewers. I can't wait till the guys hear the sound of the Millenium. I used the Smashing Bumpkins sound with a few slight E.Q. changes and get the exact "American Woman" solo guitar sound. It's fabulous. I use the same setting for "No Time". The other 2 songs we're doing are "These Eyes" and "Undun". You can watch it on TV. |
