Q: I'm trying to use my J-Station with the PC editor, but the computer can't detect the J-Station. What do I do?
A: There are a few things to check. First of all, be sure you've got the MIDI OUT of the J-Station connected to the MIDI IN on your computer and vice versa. Next, be sure the switch on the back of the J-Station is in the "MIDI" position. The diagram on the back of the J-Station can be misunderstood. The "MIDI" position is where the switch is in the position closest to the MIDI jacks. Finally, be sure you've updated the firmware on your J-Station.
Q: I read about the latest version of firmware for the J-Station on your website, but I can't figure out how to get it. How or where do I get it?
A: The latest version is bundled with the J-Edit software. Download J-Edit and install it on your PC. When the installation is complete, use the Windows start menu to go to Start --> Programs --> Johnson Amplification --> J-Updater. This program will update the firmware. Further assistance is available in the J-Updater Help file located in the same program group.
