DOD, DigiTech & Johnson Amplification - January 1999
ROB URRY HEADS HARMAN MUSIC GROUP
SANDY, Utah -- Rob Urry has recently been named President of the Harman Music Group. In his new role, he will direct the activities of the dbx, DOD, DigiTech and Johnson brands. The announcement was made by Mark Terry, President, Harman Pro Group, America.
"We are extremely pleased to have Rob accept this appointment," says Terry. "Robs leadership skills, as well as technical and marketing experience within the Harman Music Group, make him the perfect candidate for this position."
Urry joined DOD Electronics in 1984 as a Project Engineer and was promoted to Vice President of Engineering in 1989. In 1996, Rob was appointed to the position of President of dbx Professional Products, and, most recently, served as Executive Vice President of the Harman Music Group. Urry was responsible for the development of DigiTechs proprietary S-DISC chip that redefined cost-effective processor performance for live music and recording applications, as well as directed the development of dbxs widely-successful Blue and Silver Series signal processors.
In a related announcement, Wayne Morris has assumed the position of President of Lexicon. "I am extremely pleased to have these two talented individuals running these important companies," adds Terry. "I anticipate much success and growth under their leadership."
