DOD, DigiTech and Johnson Amplification - March 1999

HARMAN MUSIC GROUP NAMES REPS OF THE YEAR

SANDY, Utah -- The Harman Music Group recently announced its "1998 Rep of the Year" awards for each of the DOD, DigiTech and Johnson Amplification brands. The announcement was made by Bill Robinson, vice president of worldwide sales, DOD/DigiTech/Johnson.

Independent sales representative firm Griffith Sales was presented with two Rep of the Year awards for both DOD and DigiTech. Based in Duluth, Georgia, with offices in Acworth, Georgia and Mandeville, Louisiana, Griffith Sales is under the direction of Gene Griffith, president. A DOD rep since 1978, Griffith Sales services the Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas territories for the two brands.

"As DOD celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, it should be noted that Gene has been a rep for the company for almost its entire existence," says Robinson. "Considering his long history and impressive record with our company, it is no surprise to us that he has taken our top honors for both DOD and DigiTech."

Signal Marketing, spearheaded by company principal Steve Trump, was additionally named Johnson Amplification’s Rep of the Year. Headquartered in Midvale, Utah, with a satellite location in Salt Lake City, Signal Marketing has looked after Johnson Amplification’s Rocky Mountain territory since the brand’s introduction three years ago.

"Steve and his crew have an incredible amount of territory to cover—ten states stretching from Canada to Mexico," says Robinson. "Despite that, they have been consistent award winners for DOD and DigiTech for many years. We’re pleased to now recognize them with this award for Johnson."
